HEALTHY CHOCOLATE LACE CREPES

makes 6 servings

INGREDIENTS:-

  • Whole Wheat Flour – 1/2 cup
  • Quick Cooking Oats – 1/2 cup
  • 2 eggs
  • Nutella – 2 heaped spoons
  • Milk – 1 1/2 cup or as required
  • salt – a pinch
  • cocoa powder- 2 tsp

METHOD:-

Pulse the oats in a mixer for a few seconds.  Whisk the egg well. In a mixing bowl add the oats and the wheat flour along with the milk and  the egg. Sprinkle little salt and add the dash of nutella along with cocoa powder .Mix well,add more milk if required. Blend in a mixer for few seconds. Set aside for atleast 30 minutes. 

Heat a non-stick pan and grease it with a spray of olive oil. Pour a ladle full of the batter in a small tip squeeze bottle or a decorating bag with a very small tip and pour the batter onto the skillet making circles, loops and other designs of your creativity. This batter being a bit thick, you cant easily make fine patterns as you can with normal crepe batter.  Cook till the crepes are set and flip it over.Roll it up and eat it or serve with cardamom sugar sprinkled on top or fresh fruit of your choice. !

NOTE:- Strain your crêpe batter through a fine sieve to remove any clumps that might get stuck when you try to pour your batter onto your pan.
