WHEAT SEMOLINA RAVA LADDU

RAVA LADDU

Cooking time:- 20 minutes

Makes – 10- 12 laddu’s

Ingredients:-

  • #   1cup Semolina
  • #   1/2 cup Coconut flakes(dried)
  • #   2 Tsp ghee
  • #   1/2 cup chopped cashews and raisins
  • #   1/4 cup sugar
  • #   1/3 cup milk
  • #   1 tsp cardamom powder

Method: In a large pan, dry roast the semolina on medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes until the color changes and it gets fragrant. Heat the ghee in a pan and add the cashew nuts and raisins.Keep the flame low throughout the process of making rava ladoo. Using a blender,blend the coconut flakes and cardamom roughly to make coarse flour. Mix this well and roast for 2 minutes.

Add the sugar, turn off the flame and slowly add the milk, stirring continuously as you do so. Once all the milk is added, continue to mix until the ladoo mixture comes together. It will be quite moist, if not add a bit more milk. When the ladoo mixture is warm enough to handle, make into lemon-sized balls and gently set aside. If the mixture is too dry, sprinkle milk as you shape the ladoos.
