CARROT AND RAW PAPAYA STIR FRY

This is a simple carrot and green papaya stir fry. Goes well as a side dish along with rice or can even be had with indian flatbreads(chapati) .

serves 4
Cooking time :20 mnts

Ingredients :-

  • @ 4 medium – carrots
  • @ 1 small – green papaya
  • @ Salt As needed
  • @ 1 tsp – olive oil
  • @ 1 tsp – chilli powder
  • @ 1 small onion
  • tempering ingredients :
  • 1/2 tsp – mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp – cumin seeds
  • 1 red chili – broken
  • 1 tsp – urad dal
  • Few curry leaves

METHOD:-
Peel the carrots and papaya. Chop them into small pieces as per your preference. Heat a kadai with oil and add all the tempering ingredients.
Add finely chopped onion and fry for a minute or until transparent. Add the chopped vegetables and cook for a 10 minutes in medium flame, add salt and chilli powder.
Serve.
