Drumsticks are  high in vitamin C, but are also a good source of dietary fiber, potassium, magnesium and manganese.[17].Moringa trees as drumstick three is most usually known  have been used to combat malnutrition, especially among infants and nursing mothers.

DRUMSTICKS IN ALMOND GRAVY;

serves 4
cooking time ; 30 mnts

INGRIDENTS:-

  • Almonds 10 (soaked) and made in to paste
  • drumsticks – 2
  • 1.2 cup thick coconut milk
  • salt
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 onion
  • 5 green chillies

METHOD:-

Heat a pan add roughly chopped onion and dry fry till the smell of onions is gone. Place it in a blender along with cut green chillies ,cumin,  coriander seeds. In a pressure cooker boil the washed and cut in to 4″pieces drumstick pieces for 3 whistles and keep aside.
 Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan , add ginger garlic paste and fry ,  after the raw smell goes add the onion paste and fry add the drumstick pieces. add the almond paste , coconut milk ,salt and cook on low fire.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a tempering pan , add mustard seeds and curry leaves. After they crackle pour it over the curry/ Serve hot with chappatis or rice pilafs.
